What is the Wegovy®§ pen, and how is it different than the pill?
Both the Wegovy®§ pill and the Wegovy®§pen contain semaglutide as the active ingredient— but they're designed to be taken very differently. Here's what they have in common:
- Active ingredient: Both deliver semaglutide, working through the same GLP-1 mechanism to reduce hunger and support weight loss.
- Weight loss results: At the highest doses, the pill produces an average of around 14% body weight reduction, while the pen averages ~15% at the standard 2.4mg dose — and up to ~21% with the higher 7.2mg option — both meaningful, clinically validated outcomes.
- Titration: Both start at a low dose and are gradually increased over time based on your individual response and goals.

How much does Wegovy®§ cost?
There are two separate charges: a membership fee and a medication cost.
Your membership covers platform access, licensed clinician oversight, and titration management. Membership rates depend on your plan (monthly, 3-, 6-, or 12-month options available).
Your medication is billed monthly after your licensed clinician approves your dosage:
Wegovy®§ Pill starts at $149/mo for the 1.5mg and 4mg starting doses, and $299/mo for higher doses
Wegovy®§ Pen starts at $199/mo for starting doses, and $349–$399/mo as you titrate up

What are the most common Wegovy®§ side effects?
The most common side effects are GI-related and tend to be most noticeable when you're starting out or stepping up in dose — which is exactly why we titrate slowly. They include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, stomach pain, bloating, burping, gas, heartburn, headache, fatigue, dizziness, and in some cases hair loss or changes in skin sensation. For most patients, these symptoms are mild to moderate and ease significantly within the first few weeks as your body adjusts.
